This blanket is highly customizable to whatever size you want!

Typical sizes are (width x length):

Lap: 36" x 48"

Throw: 50" x 60"

Double: 85" x 90"

Queen: 90" x 100"

King: 110" x 100"

Materials:
Crochet hook - size based off of personal preference, the smaller the hook, the more stitches you’re going to need to make up the desired length

Yarn - once again, this will be dependent on the size of hook you use, and how large you want your blanket.
If you want to determine approximate amount of yarn required, crochet a 5" x 5" square using the below pattern, clip the yarn or mark so you can measure the amount used. Unravel the square to determine the length of yarn to make the 5" x 5" square and extrapolate to figure out amount needed for desired size.

Pattern:

CH to reach your desired width

DBL in 3rd space from hook, DBL, DBL, sk 2 3DBL in next space, sk 2, 3 DBL in next space, continue until 3 ch spaces from the beginning, DBL in each space.
Turn, ch 3, DBL, DBL, sk 2 3DBL in the middle stich of the 3DBL stitch, and continue
